Tuesday, February 11th: State Meet Pep Fest and Departure.
7:45 - 8:10am. Drop skis, overnight bags, and such at team room
12:26 - 12:56: Otter Time Pep Fest.
After Pep Fest, load bus at Door B and drive to team room @ REC to load. Depart at about 1:15ish.
We'll eat dinner on the way, so pack something or bring $ for a stop. State athletes, you will receive a $75 stipend from the team if that helps you plan.
Hotel & Chaperone Info: We'll be staying at the Comfort Inn and Suites of Iron Mountain/Virginia. Coach Scharnberg, Bredenberg, and Mouser, along with their spouses will be staying at the same hotel. Each competing athlete gets a bed to herself.
Packing List:
Consider bringing a dessert to share (cookies, brownies...).
Don't forget your ski boots, uniform, cold weather gear, a couple of underlayer changes will be nice for the smell-factor and your personal comfort. With the cold temps around -4 at the start, please remember the importance of head/face coverings when racing. With a state meet, if an athlete shows signs of frostbite during the race, the medical staff could pull you from competition. Also, no jewerly during competition. Please leave these items at home or in the hotel.
Outdoor gear such as boots, snow pants, gloves. Especially for before and after.
Clothing
Personal care items (toothbrush, soaps, towel, pit-stick, tampons, and the like)
Towel
Pillow and blanky
Sleeping bag and a ground pad if you have one (for fans crashing in rooms).
Good book!
Water Bottle, personal food/snacks.
Spending $. State clothing will be sold at the meet (or you can order online). Also, we’ll make a stop for food on the way up and on the way back. Pack a lunch if you’d like to save a little cash-o-la.

Leave hotel by 10am.
