Phase 1: Collecting Prizes
Athletes, Parents, and Guardians: This year's fundraiser will again be our very successful prize raffle. In terms of fundraisers, this one has a lower demand of energy on your part and yields a high return for our team. Typically, this fundraiser is over 90% profitable. Thanks in advance for your help!
During phase 1, each family is to ask at least one local business for a donation that will be raffled. On our website, you can find a list of previous years' businesses and donations for inspiration. Click the 2024/2025 Fundraiser tab at the bottom of the spreadsheet.
We're collecting donations starting today through December 8.
Bring the donation item to Coach Scharnberg by December 8.
Please use the spreadsheet linked on our website to record your prize(s). This piece is very important for tax purposes and to make sure we’re not doubling up on businesses. Click the tabs at the bottom of the page to see previous donors. This is helpful. Many of these donors have supported our team for many years, making your job easier and maintaining a solid community connection.
To say thank you, we give donors a team poster with all the sponsors listed. Not only does it recognize our many awesome sponsors, but it also promotes our awesome team. Parents/Guardians, once again, I really need your help making sure these posters get distributed. These posters will be made once we have a final list of businesses.
Raffle Cover Letter. Use this information as a talking piece to help you connect with businesses. You could also print a copy to give to the donor. At the end of the letter is a short form if anyone needs proof of charitable giving.
Raffles will be printed and Phase II will be begin just before the Holiday break. During phase two, your athletes will receive raffle tickets to sell to friends, neighbors, family…
Don’t hesitate to reach out with questions, concerns, ideas, and the like. Thanks in advance for your help! 651-494-4725.
Onward,
Coach Scharnberg
